Dangerous safety hazard

I was happy with this oven for last 11 months except for the fan running so long after turning off. But all changed Oct 11, 2021 when I opened the door to put apple crisp in and THE DOOR FELL OFF CRASHING TO THE FLOOR BY MY FOOT WITH THOUSANDS OF SHARDS OF FLYING GLASS. What if the grandkids were in the kitchen? Huge safety risk. Can™€™t get anyone out for two weeks plus to see what the problem is and then how long will it be until repaired? Has anyone else had this happen? To date the Frigidaire service reps are NOT STELLAR plus wait time are ridiculous. I am hoping Frigidaire will contact me as I would think they would be very concerned over the safety of this product. Please call me Frigidaire.I liked the swing door but will never feel safe with it even when repaired.

Some feature are not the same as what is in the operation manual. Also stove stopped one day for no reason. Display went black but light in oven remained on. Had to do a hard reset. Didn't had any issues after that.

Great oven, doesn't heat up the kitchen like my old gas one. Only issue is that when you are time baking, the display only has current time, not the elapsed time. It may have that function but I haven't found it yet. Also the instructions are comprehensive enough IMHO.

I love the side opening door: no waft of hot air to fog my glasses. No hot door to reach over. Convection and conventional options. No bending over to take the roaster or tray from the oven. Every new home I have had, the first change I make is to this side opening oven

Replaced a 30-year old Jenn-Aire. WHAT I LOVE* More space: insulation has gotten more efficient since 1992* Pre-Heat: takes 5-10 minutes* Convection function: works as advertisedThis oven does not fit into my built-in like the old Jenn-Aire, but that will be fixed when we renovate the kitchen.

For the first six week, I thought the over was great, until I tried to bake at 450 degrees and then all heck broke loose. Using my K probe thermocoulple oven never got about 350 then starting dropping. Also the oven would not let me set an internal temperature using the provided probe. Yes I rebooted. Repair person arrived told me it was the "motherboard" which had to be ordered. Wrong parts arrived technician tried to correct the issue had to order the correct parts. Time will tell. Would not recommend oven.

27" Single Electric Wall Oven with side opening door

The best feature on this oven and why I selected it is the side opening door. It really makes it easy and safer to have the door swing out to the side and out of the way, rather than have to reach over a hot oven door. Especially with heavy roasting pans. All the other features on the oven work great and as expected.

Holds accurate temp well and I like the side opening door. However, the repairman is coming Thursday to replace the convection fan - something was wrong with it, sounded as if bearings were bad. Also the door does sag on the hinges, repairman said he will ask Frigidaire how to adjust, hoping he can do that Thursday as well.

I bought this oven to replace the same oven I purchased 20 years ago. I just love it because I am in a wheelchair and needed a door that swung away. It works great for me . We had to switch the door from left to right swing but after awhile we got it. But again, I just love the door swinging to the right .

Splendid upgrade

The feature that initially drew my attention to this oven is the side opening door which will be a standard for me going forward. I really like the quick preheat, convection cooking, and probe. The only downside so far is the noisy fan that seems to run too long- I guess it will extend the life of the electronics.

Too Soon to Tell

I bought these (two of them) about a month ago, but we're upgrading this house all over and havent moved in yet! So, other than testing them to see if they work, we havent used them. But you kept emailing me to review or I would run out of time... they look great installed in our Island, one right and one left of the cooktop. Changed door on one so it opens to the right (right side), while the other on opens to the left (left side). Nice effect. Love the side opening doors. Notice when we test ran them that a fan runs continuously and it is loud. Read that before we bought and assumed it was a picky person, but it was not! The fan is actually innapropriately loud. I was disappointed for my wife, but she said "I'll get used to it". But that's not the problem. You know how you cant hear anyone talking to you when your running the faucet in the sink? Now she wont be able to hear in the kitchen while running the oven. And with the ability today to muffle/conceal such noises there is really no excuse for these loud ovens. The rest is too soon to tell, as we dont even have counter top installed for our new kitchen cabinets and have not used the ovens. One more thing. Read another review that said the door hinge is not heavy enough and you have to lift up on door and push firmly to get it to latch. So that reviewer figured it would get worse with use. In my opinion this is 100% correct. Because of lightweight hinges the doors dropped a little when you open and wont swing closed of you push them and let go. You have to hold them all the way and guide them and push firmly to close. But I tightened up the hinge screws as much as possible and they now do not drop down...still harder to close than a regular downward opening door, bcuz they have to latch. If they does not get worn out with time...it's a minor issue. Side swinging doors have to latch (I guess), whereas regular down/up doors seem to spring shut. Our microwave side swinging door is the same way...you have to guide it closed. Oh, you can slam the microwave shut and same with these ovens, but this might be bad on the latch over time, so I never do this.

We bought this in July of last year and the outer door class just shattered as we were closing the door, apparently, you aren't supposed to close the door, because it is consdered cosmetic and not covered under warranty, and they won't sell just the glass, you have to buy a whole new door at $300+

I bought this oven to replace my 14+ year old Frigidaire oven. I am paralyzed and in a wheelchair so I have to have an oven with a door that opens from the side. It works wonderful. The racks are easy for me to move in and out and spills wipe up easily.

I'm new to convection cooking and just tried a batch of cookies that came out perfectly. I was able to put two cookie sheets into the oven at the same time, making things way easier than my old Frigidaire non-convection oven which handled only one cookie sheet at a time. I love the right-side-opening door; easy for me to get close to my new Frigidaire oven from my wheelchair.

Our 1960™€™s GE double oven broke and we were unable to find parts. We decided to switch to a single oven due to oven prices nowadays. Worked out well because I built a nice little open shelf under it for small appliance storage. This oven cooks very well, nice and even. However, when cooking, and if you have to open the door for anything, this oven takes longer than expected to recover the lost heat. I™€™ve read complaints of fan noise but that doesn™€™t bother us...it™€™s pretty quiet. My wife, being shorter, really likes the side opening door so she doesn™€™t have to reach over a fold down door. Overall we are happy with the oven and would recommend it to others.

Cooks great but needs a little engineering change

Just bought this unit. First the good, IT COOKS SUPER EVENLY. The element assisted convection fan really changes how evenly items cook in the oven, golden brown and delicious.Now the BAD: The side swing door is very cool BUT it's a little heavy for its hinge so it sags slightly which makes it hard to close. The fix is to lift the door slightly while closing and all set, but really what needs to happen is that the engineers at Frigidaire add a slightly angled hinge with a ball-bearing roller that the door will ride up on when closing, be lifted into the correct place and close perfectly. Maybe they will see this and fix it in "version 2.0" of this otherwise EXCELLENT oven.

I bought this because I was avoiding baking since leaning down and reaching across the door was very hard on my back. Having an oven at counter height is very nice, but having the door open to the side is stupendous. I love the fast preheat, the cooking timers, actually all the functions. Did I mention that my husband and son installed it themselves? I'm positive you'll be as happy as I am with this oven.

The oven cooks well and I love the convection as I use it most of the time. The side open is a great feature in the wall oven. I was disappointed that this model only came with two oven racks the third rack came in handy especially on the holidays.

Ordered and it took quite a while to receive this and a cook top that were ordered from Home Depot the same day. Well worth the wait. The oven fit perfectly in the opening and works great. It vents into the kitchen but does not heat up the room noticeably. The best feature of this oven is the swing door that lets you walk up to the oven and not lean over a door that opens from the top to the bottom. I did purchase the extended warranty on both appliances. Very happy with this purchase.

Oven is fabulous, especially with side opening door. This feature allows you to place and remove items in the oven easily without bending over. This limits burns to the hands and arms! It does have a bit of fan noise as it™€™s preheating and cooking but does the job and not a deal breaker. Convection for baking is terrific!

Oven Missing Defective

I was excited to get this installed on the 26th of June 2020. However the heating element is not attached to the ceiling and hangs down into the third level of the racks so you can't use it for anything. So far it is a very expensive clock. The customer service is exceptionally bad. Virtually impopssible to get anyone on the phone. They won't have a replacement oven for me until December, so I have to got without and oven for 7 months (it took a month for it to arrive when I ordered it)..

When a late night storm zapped our 20 year old wall oven naturally it was time for an upgrade. Also since this was one of the last appliances that had not been replaced it gave a chance to modernize. Service Problem

I have had trouble with the door on this oven since it was installed in our new custom built home. It doesn™€™t close properly and no one can seem to fix it. I have had one technician come twice and not be able to fix it. So Frigidaire is sending a new person on Monday September 24th. I am also waiting on my replacement induction cooktop.

Funny how they press you to leave a review before you've barely had 2-3 weeks to use the appliance.The front stainless surround on the touch pad came loose almost immediately..double stick tape let go. Difficult to replace with non commercial tape but I finally got it to stick with Gorilla double sided tape. Shouldn't have to do this to a brand new item.Seems to work ok but, again, has only been a few weeks.Side opening feature was important to us..only one on the market with exception of a smaller Bosch.

Love the side-opening door, but not real impressed with the performance of the oven during the month that we™€™ve had it. I™€™m hoping it™€™s just a matter of needing to experiment more with convection cooking. Previous oven was 30™€ and you wouldn™€™t think 2-1/2™€ would make a big difference but, wow, it just really does seem much smaller. I did extensive research before purchasing our Frigidaire oven. I™€™m hopeful that as time passes this product will indeed turn out to be the great appliance I was so certain was the best one for our home.
