Never purchase the product. No matter how much it cost you, the consumed parts are extremely expensive. For example, the filter with similar materials at Amazon is around $10, but they sell more than $100. The tricky thing is that the size of their filter is unique and you could not find any other same size from elsewhere. It ends up that you have to spend 10 times more than the regular price to purchase a filter if you want to continue using the hood. Isn't it ridiculous????

It started with one button that slung out at my wife's face while she was cooking. This product is a safety hazard. Then a second button did the same. One of the buttons eventually got pushed in, and we had to start using the other loose button to enable other fan speeds. Eventually they all got pushed in. From what I'm reading about in all the other reviews, this seems to be a common issue and should warrant a class action lawsuit if they can't remedy the problem. We'll be sure to avoid Frigidaire products going forward.

Button Issue and Filter specs

The Button on my Range hood has come off and has gone back in the belly of the range while trying to fix it. Maybe got tired and is resting in peace inside the Range hood. Great workmanship to create something where it belongs (the button). Now use a Chopstick to start the Range hood in first gear. Wanted to know if I can buy a replacement filter and the specs of it. Please provide the above info the great Online Outreach specialist if possible as the filter is getting flimsy and ready to rest in peace too soon.

Buttons fell out - Please Recall

Like everyone else with negative reviews here on Frigidaire and many threads on the web, we are down to one button after a few years. I contacted Frigidaire after our first year when the first button fell off, and they would not honor the warranty. Both of our neighbors have the same vent and the same problem. All of our appliances are Frigidaire (e.g., Stove, microwave, dishwasher, etc.) and have served us well outside this hood. With so many complaints and negative reviews, it would seem like Frigidaire would have extended the warranty or recalled this hood. Consider a range hood that will last longer with a better warranty that won't leave you with a useless scrap of metal!

Have had it less than a year, the buttons are aluminum so can't get to it using magnetic grabber, going to require uninstalling the whole unit. Level 2-3 fan is annoyingly loud. Contacted parts replacement line, they do not offer the buttons by themselves, that's a huge mistake. Please tell me the person I spoke to is wrong, and that you do in fact offer these buttons. Or tell me how to remove the front trim piece that covers the switch assembly. I'd rather have wisdom teeth pulled than have to take this vent hood down. It was not an easy install.

This range hood is very stream lined with the few buttons on the front. The lights aren™€™t very bright but the fan is fairly quiet. It needs a little design improvement . Does the job.

Nice construction and appearance. Protective film does not come off easily especially where two panels butt up against each other. Easy to self install. Nice lighting. No need for 3 speeds. Fan motor housing was only partially attached to hood. The optional charcoal filter with a 6 month life costs $215 each!!! Insane!!! Shameful!!! Whole hood only costs $300.

1. They should mention to record model and serial number before installation for ease of reading. 2. Protective film on the surfaces comes off way too hard and where there are seams with a tuck under overlap the film does not come off well. Adhesive residue does result in some areas. 3. The BIGEE™€"- fan motor assembly was not fastened on all 4 screws to the range hood. 2 screws tight, 2 screws only into the plastic housing. Result was a very loud fan rubbing that was solved by tightening the 2 loose screws. Awkward but it was accomplished successfully. 4. No need for a 3 speed fan. Two is more than adequate. 5. Only air filtering is done by a washable stainless steel mesh panel. Would be much more effective with some sort of filtering media like charcoal. Washing will require very light handling. 6. But the stainless steel coloration is a match to my Frigidaire Gallery range and refrigerator. 7. My local small business brick and mortar store where I bought my fridge and range did not carry this so I had to buy elsewhere! They also don™€™t provide Frigidaire warranty service and repair. Go figure that!

It's a very stylish vent hood for a minimalist like myself. I like clean and uncluttered and this fits the bill. The fan works great and the light on it is very convenient. It is also the perfect size for my pot filler and doesn't obstruct it at all.

I opened hood, found button inside, applied rtv to pin that button slides over and worked fine ever since. nothing broken, they sometimes just come loose, otherwise only had to change a few lamps and everything else works fine.

Although I will agree with the majority of these reviews. This oven hood DOES have faulty, cheap buttons that will fall apart and if you™€™re lucky will get lost inside the hood assembly. That requires you to take the whole oven hood apart (approximately 12 T10 torque screws) just to get to the button assembly. Do not pay a technician to replace the button assembly. I was able to find my button after disassembly and push it back in and then reassemble. On a level of 1-10, approximately a 4 in difficultly level.

They must think it is junk if they won't service them.Builder installed so no receipt and 10% is not much of a rebate. Third Frigidaire appliance that has died in the last month, done with them.

Just like others, I have a button which fell out of the unit and then tried to re-insert and it got pushed all the way into unit. So far have been in a chat with associates for 2 hours and they are not able to help. The front buttons should be serviceable.Looks like I'll be replacing the unit with something else.

The push buttons on the front of this are defective. They are made to look like they are metal but they connect to a very small piece of plastic that breaks off easily. The replacement part is more expensive than the entire unit.

The convection oven is something I've wanted for a while and now I know what I was missing. Roasts are much better, my cookies aren't burnt on one side any more. One of the most lived features is the different size and purpose gas burners. I can finally cook a meal and have everything done at the same time, cooked perfectly. I'm awaiting my free air fry pan so I can try some apple cinnamon crisps and potatoe slices. Worth every penny.

Vent Hood Range - Button issue

Hello, I have the 30" Range vent hood, I had the same issue as multiple reviewers. The buttons go back into the unit and the only repair available is to call a service center to send a tech for repair. The button part itself is $288, then add in a service tech, it is less expensive to purchase a new and updated model than replace the little buttons. This unit is apparently a throw away unit if there is an issue. It worked well for 2.5 years, sleek, quite, nice looking unit. This was disappointing that this issue is a common occurrence according to other reviews and Frigidaire does not stand behind their product of a common issue. I can see if this was 5+ years old, but 2 years old, seems unreasonable to have to replace the unit or pay $300 plus for a repair.

Worst range hood I've ever experienced. The "suction" is extremely weak, and forget about changing a bulb. I had to break 2 bulbs getting them out, and I've never had that issue before with any other hood. Read the reviews everywhere, the bulb replacement process is a nightmare. Pick another hood!

Defective fan switch!

I recently purchased this along with Frigidaire oven and dishwasher. After installation we found that the fan switch was defective. This was a special order item at Lowe™€™s, and they told me it was no longer available. I could not get it serviced and had to take it out and return it!, so I ended up buying a stock item off the shelf!! Needless to say, I am not pleased!!!

Fan Speed Button Falls Out

This range hood was provided in our new home we bought in 2016. The performance for four years has been good however the medium speed fan button just fell out and when we tried to put it back in place it went inside the hood and can't be retrieved. I see from other reviews this problem is not uncommon. Frigidaire needs to do something about this obvious design/manufacturing flaw. My hood is out of warranty so unless I get some assistance from Frigidaire my only option is to purchase a new hood. Rest assured it won't be a Frigidaire!
