got this with my new home and builder installed about 1.5 years ago. Motor failed recently and when contacted for service they Told me that it is out of warranty and will cost 750 for it . It is obvious by all reviews and issues for other that there is a defect with this product ! DO NOT purchase any of their products if support is important to you!

So we have been in the new house for a month and getting back into the cooking mode.I™€™ve used the hood a few times when cooking and found that it does a good job. However, it is a noisy piece of equipment even on the lowest setting and the is a loud clank when the vent is turned off.

Extremely happy with the range hood so far, it looks great and does an excellent job removing cooking smells. With our previous range hood I rarely cooked fish or bacon in the house because everything would smell like that for days, but with the Frigidaire hood the smells are removed immediately. It is a little loud, but the noise is worth it given how it well it works. Would definitely buy again.

Purchased and had new range hood installed about 1.5 years ago. Motor failed within the first 8 months. Failed a second time (out of warranty) 8 months later. Has failed again. Called for help and got NONE! Told me that it is out of warranty and that they have NO appointments available! It is obvious to me that there is a defect with this product! DO NOT purchase any of their products if support is important to you!

This hood came with our new home. It is very nice looking and in theory, has all of the features that you would want from a hood. The complaint is that it is very loud. Aside from that, we like it very much.

I loved this range hood! Loved all the features and beautiful appearance. It was easy to clean. Ten months after I purchased the hood, the fan stopped working whileI was cooking. I called customer services and the repairman arrived in a few days. I was heartbroken! I love to cook and the hood does a amazing job of removing odors. Without the hood, food odors linger and grease builds up. The repairman said the fuse blow but the fuse was inside the motor and could not be removed. The whole motor needed to replace. I have to wait 3 weeks for the repair to be completed. Luckily, it was under warranty. Otherwise, it would have been an expensive repair.I would have given this hood a 5 star rating if it didn™€™t break down in 10 months. Hopefully, this is just a fluke. After the motor is replaced, I hope it continues to work well for several years.

This was installed in our new house, and we have now lived there for about a month. So far I love it. So nice to be able to cook at high heat for stuff like stir fry, without worrying about setting off the fire alarm. Way better than a microwave vent above the stove top. Looks really nice too.

Incredibly Loud

We've had this hood for over two years, so I feel qualified to review it. Looks and feels very high quality. Definitely does a good job trapping any smoke or odors from cooking. However even on low, this thing is incredibly loud. This is a huge problem because we have an open floorplan, with our kitchen, dining nook, and living room in one big space. So if I want to simmer a pot of soup and put the hood on low, the person watching TV has to turn the volume way up, and I can't have any conversations in the kitchen. I am genuinely amazed Frigidare has not come up with any solutions to this problem. I think many of us who own this hood would be happy to pay for a new motor or switch assembly that would solve this problem.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. This hood was installed by the builder in our new construction home, and it sounds like a jet engine on the lowest setting. It is virtually impossible to carry a conversation in the kitchen when it is running..on the lowest setting. I™€™ve lived in numerous new construction homes and have experience with many different hoods, and this is by far the worst product we™€™ve ever used. Don™€™t waste your money, but something else.

Replaced twice and repaired 10 times

Friday I get my hood replaced for second time. Who designed a thermometer that cant be reset without replacing the unit? If you cook something hot (for me its searing a steak on this) better do it outside this unit cant handle high heat and if the unit gets hot you have to replace it. This is the equivalent of popping a breaker then needing your entire house rewired. If you have a choice, do anything but this unit. PS wonder why they will sell extended warranties on everything under the sun EXCEPT for this.

It looks great and it is easy to install however mine was delivered with only 2 filters. I wrote to customer service and unfortunately no one has reached out to me so I guess after spending $700+ on this hood I'll spend another $40 on a filter.FYI - it is noisy but i doesn't bother me.

The motor died in a week of using it. The technician who came did not even check it and claimed it was the motor. ( so it™€™s a common occurrence ) and he coughed all over my kitchen ( active Covid time ) and was NOT wearing a mask. Needless to say this made me very unhappy. I had to clean and sterilize my entire kitchen afterwards ! Please tell your techs to be more mindful. Even the one that came to fix the motor a week later did not wear a mask. But the work was done efficiently. So thank you.
