Using this combo for the first week was certainly different, but turns out to be a great choice for my needs! Runs as expected, clothes are clean and dry (be sure to load as directed and let run through the entire cycle), and I have been able to walk away and clearly hear the "finish" signal from anywhere in my one-floor home. I am pleased with the ease and performance already!

Died in first few years

We got this unit because our bathroom is tiny and we were trying to save space. It's just two of us in our home, and I don't think we do any more laundry than the average family. This worked fine for the first 2-3 years. Yes, it's long dry times but that's to be expected with a single unit. Recently it's stopped drying clothes however, and we have to run 2, 3, sometimes even 4 dry cycles in addition to the usual auto-dry cycle. That's like 6-8 hours to dry, on top of what was already a 3-4 hour normal cycle. We had a tech come out to look at it, and they basically told us that three components would have to be replaced and it would cost about $800 to do so. This unit cost us $1500 just four years ago. In addition, they told us that it was likely that this would happen again since these units really aren't meant to run regular household laundry, even for a small home. If you're buying this for a camper, vacation home that you infrequently visit, etc. - great, this is a small unit that will likely save you space and work well enough. If you're considering this for your primary residence, move along this isn't the washer/dryer that you're looking for.

I first ran 4 towels and ran for the 3hr normal cycle then had to do 3 hrs of timed dry. I reduced to 2 towers and ran 3hr normal cycle and extra dry auto(2 hrs). Still damp. I had low expectations but 2 towels!!

I bought this for a park model home. I do not dry anything except sheets and towels but I thought it would be nice to have a dryer just in case I needed it. The wash works great. I did do a test dry and as people report it does take longer but it's there if you need it. I like the fact that there is a short 28-minute wash which is all I use. Great product so far.

Machine is compact. Washes well, but long dry times. But if you work with it and try different methods…you can accomplish a more perfect wash cycle. Love the time delay option as you can set it to wash in the middle of the night or while at work.

This fit perfectly in the small bathroom we have in our trailer on the lake and bein able to set it and forget it is great! Once we used it a few times we learned how simple it is to add drying time for larger (or heavier) loads. The spin cycles do vibrate a little more than standard comparable appliances but we expected that due to the method it sues for drying.

Once installed, it gives a great cleaning experience. I was on a learning curve and I never owned a appliance like this with all the electronics. I had to learn how to get it to do what I needed it to do. It does great as a washer; just works OK as a dryer. I have to press clothes out of the dryer.

I am renting a place with this washer dryer combo. I considered it an option for a possible future tiny home. It is no longer an option. It is the most frustrating washer I have used. Washing only one bath sheet at a time does not work for me! They just don't get dry. My scrubs come out very wrinkled. I have tried washing the pants alone and then the tops. So I took to washing a 3 pants alone and then the tops. No change. I gave up and washed 3 sets together and iron them. It takes a long time for one load and sleep is premium and I don't like doing laundry all the time I am taking my laundry to the laundromat so I can get it done and enjoy my off time! Glad I found out before I bought one! If you have any recommendations on how to get better results it would be greatly appreciated.

Drying could be better

Well had about a month now and did about 10 to 12 loads. Like other say drying gets some clothes to just lightly damp so must hang to finish drying. It's like the sensor is just not Smart enough to know when the clothes are dry or not. Even when trying to dry a 2nd time may or may not work. There should be a auto cycle to just dry longer. This should be a FLAW and fixed for FREE from the manufacture. Trying to level the unit has been fairly difficult. Even though my levels look great it still shakes too much when doing the spin dry cycle. ( 2 to 5 minutes ) Makes apartment shake. The good is the size and not taking up too much space. The controls need a brighter indicator light as well but it does give good choices to chose from and the front LED is clear and understandable just the KNOB indicator light is not bright enough. This unit is quite in the other cycles and does wash the clothes clean enough. This unit would get 5 STARS if the drying was thorough.

We are limited in space so this is perfect for my 1 bedroom vacation home. I've read reviews where clothes don't come out completely dry, it's not the case for us. We don't over pack it, I put the laundry in and forget about for 3 hrs. Clothes come out clean. Good choice for us since we live in a middle unit condo on the 3rd floor with no vent dryer. I was looking at the Lg model but they were backed ordered and decided to go with GE, so glad we did. We did buy 5 yr extended warranty on it just because we're not sure the longevity and reliability from Lowes.

Great features and small enough to fit in my RV

I would recommend to a friend only if they could handle the 4 month wait for it to be finally shipped. I like the size, the all-in-one, the steam wash, and the various settings. The biggest downside is the lack of an ability to also make it an external drying vent for faster drying and a better way to keep the door open (or another method) so it airs out and dries better between uses (to decrease mold). Also, the initial break-in smell is a bit much.

Just what I needed

I live in an apartment with a small pantry that has been plumbed for a washer and dryer, BUT the vent for the dryer is in the opposite corner of the pantry from the washer. What to do? I really didn't want two large appliances taking up precious storage space in my pantry. This little baby fits the bill. It's small, which is awesome. It does a good job cleaning my clothes and the load sizes aren't TOO small. It's relatively quiet, too. The downsides are what you'd expect from a ventless w/d. When it gets spinning, it's REALLY spinning. My sister lives downstairs from me and knows when I'm doing laundry. And things don't usually come out dry and fluffy. I bought a hanging rack and hang things like towels and heavier items that don't always get dry enough to be folded away in a drawer. But it's totally worth it for the size and convenience.

Does a good job of cleaning and drying but 1 load does take about 3 hours and is not what would be a full load in standard washer and dryers. Also, not energy efficient. My power bill shot up with use of this appliance. If you have no other options, this is better than similar equator models. Best to just use the wash cycle and line dry as much as you can to save costs

Great compact machine that fits perfectly in my bathroom closet. Works well. Be prepared that it takes longer than two separate machines. It is not an issue for me. The only thing is the manual and installation guide said it comes with a wrench to level the machine. But the installers, the GE parts department and GE appliance repair all said to ask the other department. So no wrench for me.

We needed a good combo that wouldn't take up a lot of room for our RV. Does it take a little longer? Mmm yeah, but it only runs on 120V so I don't know why you'd expect more? Anyway, this thing is perfect!

When my old stack washer and dryer needed to be replaced I found out that new stack washer and dryers are bigger than they used to be and a full size set would not fit in my laundry space. Also, compact dryers are typically 220 electric and not 120 electric or gas like my old dryer. I decided to give the GE all-in-one a try as it is one of the bigger compact units, only needs a 120 electric outlet, does not need to be vented (so it can be closer to the wall), and will wash and dry in one machine. I am only doing laundry for one person but the unit would work for two people. It washes really good. It does take longer to dry and some of the heavier items like blankets need extra drying time or can be hung to finish drying, but that was expected. The unit has a lot of wash and dry options. When I first used the unit I found water under it and thought it was leaking but it was my drain that was clogged. I think I will put a lint trap on the drain hose as the machine does seem to expell lint down the drain. Overall this washer/dryer combo unit is working as advertised and I would recommend it. Now that I don't have a dryer on top of the washer I can install a separate grey water drain and switch the hose to the grey water drain if I want to use the water for irrigation.

I'm starting with 3 stars because I just got it. My other one was noisy and didn't seem to get my clothes clean. I'm hoping this machine will be much better.

Hello, I ask support one more time because I did not get full answer on my question. The question is following. There are no information about degree level in temperature. What category Cold, Cool, Warm, Hot, Ex.hot means? I do not have Sanitize level of temperuture, I have Cool! Why I should spend my free time to search for this information. The worst support that I have ever had. All temperature on the clothes is in Celsius, should you write temp in Celcius, please?

VERY DISSAPOINTED, AS SOON AS APPLIANCE WAS INSTALLED WE PLACED THE FIRST LOAD AND IT HAD WATER COMING OUT FROM THE BOTTOM DAMAGING MY MOBILEHOME'S FLOOR. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TSHUTTING IT OFF DUE TO THE DOOR LOCK AND EVEN AFTER PRESSING THE OFF BUTTON AND UNPLUGGING THE POWER CHORD BUT IN ORDER TO TAKE OUR CLOTHES OUT OF THE WASHER WE HAD TO TURN IT BACK ON AND WATER ALL OVER THE PLACE AGAIN.

On high spin made a thumping sound on floor; I had to adjust the feet repeatedly to get it the stop but I did put it on a riser. I'd recommend a riser because it is difficult to clean out. I had a similar setup in Italy and had it on a cement slab above the floor. The one I have is commercially designed for washer and dryers in the states. See photo. As you can see on bottom left a machine is the filter and drain compartment. You need to clean and wash out. I perform more frequently as it can get foul if left undone or underdone. GE does have a recommendation for interval. Overall good machine and does not take up too much room.
