I really like this dryer, nice features. The only thing I dislike is the buzzard at the end of the cycle. You have no control over it and it can be annoying. I wish the buzzard could be removed!!!

The dryer broke and stopped working 2 days after it was delivered to my house. I will never again purchase any GE products. The "customer relations" department is a disaster and did not provide support.

Was told this dryer was the equivalent of my previous GE flat back dryer (for installation in condominium closet). Bad enough there is no drum light, but a lack of a delicate cycle would have been a no deal for me had I known. And now I read the buzzer is loud and won't turn off! I live in a condo so my neighbors will be disturbed. And I sure can't tell by the misleading cycle names if there is a sensor dryer, but I expect not. Why? Why would GE make this product? No more GE for me ever.

Horrible dryer

Bought this dryer as a gift for my daughter's family in March 2020. Before they even had it for TWO years, it stopped working. They had the first issue repaired and now, ONE week later it needs the heating element replaced at a cost of $200! I am beyond embarrassed that I gave them such a lousy gift. I've had my GE for years and never had a problem. It's obvious this dryer was a lemon. Nothing we can do since they only warranty them for one year. Won't be buying another GE product. A dryer should last longer than 23 months for God's sake!

Good dryer - loud buzzer!

So far no issues for drying, multiple options for drying. One annoying feature is the buzzer at the end of the cycle. Come on we are not deaf! It is so loud it startles the heck out of everyone in the house. There is no option to silence or lower the sound of the buzzer alarm. Online I read that others complain as well, they recommend pulling the wires out of the buzzer. I don't think I will be doing that on a brand new dryer.

Super noisy, scraping sounds with wet clothes

Since day it was delivered this dryer it has made screeching and scarping sounds. Usually wet clothes and early in the cycle and as it dries the noise goes away. Noise worse with heavy bath towels and maybe not at all with socks. When I open the door I can see the clothes scraping across the door, either that or its weight is pushing on the belts somehow when it is wet. Awful. Do not know if I have a lemon and the belts and clips are just not installed correctly or it is not level and the heavy wet clothes make it off balance. In either case for $649 dollars I am very unhappy. I do like how it dries fast and how it looks but not sure about the product. I hate to pay for someone to come look at it when from day one it did not perform. I am happy to take a recording and send it to you and then you can comment but I would need an email or text.

A Broken Switch Required A New Dryer

Five years ago we bought a new dryer for our new condo. It broke. Our home protection company took a week to arrive and when they did they explained the switch broke. Sine they didn't have any in inventory they had to order one. The technician told us this happens all the time with this model. He temporarily fixed it by moving another switch onto where our broken switch was. About a week later we got a call saying the switch wasn't available and they didn't know when it would be because of supply chain issues. We went and bought another machine because without a dryer we had problems. The salesman also told us he heard the switch breaks all the time.

We live in a condo with a very small space for the washer and dryer. We we limited in what washer dryer set we could buy. I am happy to say I am glad we chose these appliances. The dryer is so quiet, I actually thought I forgot to turn it on. With working remotely these days , you can be on that zoom meeting and still dry clothes.

it works as expected, drying things fast. Look good too. the only problem is the drum is a bit too close to the box wall, a small push in of the side wall (which is thin and easy to change shape) will cause the the rotating drum touching the wall and making a big noise. need to be careful.

For the price, this is a good dryer. The sensor for dryness level could be better (when loads are smaller, dryer turns off prematurely). Buzzer is obnoxiously and excessively loud. If these aren't dealbreakers, good choice.
