New white sheets and towels don't seem to come clean. New white sheets look grayish, stains don't come out of white towels.I've used Tide, Tide pods, Gain, 64 and my place is too small to have all these products that aren't working.

very disappointing

Not being able to have lid open while washer is filling is silly, stops me from being able to use liquid detergent unless I wait until the water is in the washer basket. I am not going to throw away the liquid soap I had before, that is foolish. I also am very surprised at the inadequate information in the manual, yet it has to be supplied in 4 languages. The directions for soap addition on page 6 say to put it in after the clothes, but on page 11 tells you to place detergent packets before adding clothes. I only chose this stacking washer/dryer due to it's measurements, I had no other choice with the depth measurement to fit my townhouse mechanical room, sad that the features are so lacking. Even this review form is stilted in such a way to in your words to "inspire other shoppers"

This unit has less noise than the last one. An issue is the top load washer. I have to be careful taking clothes out so I don't hit my head. The unit works well. It also does not have a place to put detergent, you have to either put it on the clothes or before you put the clothes inside.

Do not buy unless your space limits the machine. Prompt delivery but dryer was DOA. New unit was sent. A few weeks later the cheap closing "mechanism" fell apart and I could only close with tape, then the timer malfunctioned. Now it is working, and to say it is noisey is an understatement. My only other options were very high end and crazy expensive

First Time Washer/Dryer purchase, worth the money!

We've been having issues with the previous washer/dryer that we had. It actually came with the house when we first moved in. We found out that it was 21 years old, and cannot be repaired anymore. We looked for a similar product but couldn't find one anywhere, until a local appliance store suggested this one to us. And being very familiar with the GE brand, we purchased it without hesitation, despite not seeing how it looks like or what type it is. That is how much we trust GE. And sure enough, when it was delivered and installed, it lived up to our expectations, probably more! It was installed quickly and efficiently, and the unit was extremely nice. Brand spanking new and looked way better in the niche it replaced the old one. The washer has more space and can wash more in one load, despite it being the exact same size as the previous washer. The dryer works perfectly, and I love how the lint remover is accessible right on the inside of the door - you don't have to reach inside or pop anything out. A cool feature I like about it too is the fabric softener area, so you don't have to wait for the cycles and put it in manually. For a first time buyer of a major appliance here in the US, it was all worth the money and getting one from a trusted brand always never fails. Thank you, GE! Keep up the good work!

I always bought GE appliances. Never again. I never had a problem drying my shower curtain in the dryer. It melted. I'm waiting for a part and do not know the expense. The warranty says don't put rubber in the dryer. Should I not dry my sneakers there. Im in limbo without a dryer and don't know the expense. The people who are in customer service have such a serious accent I can not understand them....

My old washer dryer combo was so easy to use. hot, warm, cold, small med, large load,,,and how many minutes it needed. done! now, there are a million different combinations and all I want is cold. And it goes on and off constantly and I dont get that either. It doesnt just fill and spin! The dryer is overly complicated but not as bad. But everything is clean, so i guess it works!

I really like this unit! Read the instructions and learn that it weighs your load and adjusts water usage accordingly. It balances loads, too. If bulky item, use bulky setting. Has "speed wash" cycle. Lots of water temp selections. Know to load it, add detergent, select cycle, close lid, push start, watch lock lid light, listen to 2 spurts of water (weighing load) then cycle starts. Push pause if you forget something, lid unlocks shortly, add it, close and push start again. Easy Peasy after you read directions! Dryer has many settings. Lint filter in door. I use wool balls to keep clothes loose. I'm very satisfied after 1 month of using it.

I wish I had my 30 year old stacked appliance back. The washing machine does work well with regard to capacity and cleaning, but it is so loud and disruptive in our small townhouse. The dryers capacity is also good and works well, but the design of the lint trap is AWFUL!! In order to get to the screening that captures the lint, you need to slide a panel off, where there is lint in the tracks and goes all over floor

Good when it works, but this model breaks down

First purchases one of these 11 years ago. First one broke down a couple of times and eventually we had to buy a new one. That one broke down twice within weeks of buying it and a GE approved repair person fixed it twice. It just died again. We're now looking at buying a Looks like we now need to buy a 3rd washer/dryer in just over 10 years! The only reason we buy this one is because it's small enough from front to back to fit in our apartment laundry closet. Also, the only way it washes things sufficiently is if you use bulky items option, otherwise it barely wets the clothes. Useless, unreliable waste of money. Avoid if possible.

Great performance

Love my new GE washer/dryer. After I moved to a mother/daughter house was looking for a small washer/dryer to fit in laundry closet that my part of the house had. This was the best option for me and Im very happy with this find. Don't miss my bigger washer and dryer that I had before. This is an amazing combo and I recommended to anybody! Great performance! Loud but adequate

Bought this to replace an older GE unit. I assumed it was basically the same model, but there are some important differences. This unit is noticeably louder, and cycles take longer. Water levels are often very low due to the load sensing feature. I'm told this doesn't affect washing ability, but time will tell. On the bright side, capacity is surprisingly relative to size, it's more efficient than my old washer, and the drum is stainless steel. Overall, performance has been fine. I'd get a different model if I could, but this is one of the very few that fits in my space.

Dryer

Washed and Dried Two Loads and It Quit Working

Repair man has been here twice for warranty repairs but can't determine what the problem is. It has been down for three weeks and is costing us time and money. Wish I had bought a Maytag. Had them for 25 years and never had a problem.

Problem From first Wash

The very first time we tried using the washer it was problematic. It would not fill on a regular wash cycle, only on heavy duty. We could only use it on the heavy duty cycle. We called for service and the service technician said it needed a new electric (mother board). The service tech came a week later with a mother board. We have only used this product since December 2021. We hope to have a better long term experience with it.

Efficient performance in a small package

I haven't used my washer/dryer unit more than a few times yet, but it works well: lots of setting options, works quietly and holds more of a load than I would have thought.
