When I was told by a repair man that my old stove needed a new control panel, we decided to just replace the entire unit. The old GE did us so well, I pretty much replaced it with the same thing - only this one is self cleaning! Im a loyal GE customer, and ya dont change what's done you so well thru the years. I love this model - I researched other models and many were way to complicated with convection/conventional combinations. This is straight-forward reliable cooking and baking. Heat is evenly distributed in the oven, and I love choosing small or large pot on the front burners.

The stove and oven work well except for the pre-heat reading. It comes on before the oven is at the correct temperature. If I wait another 10-15 minutes after the pre-heat signal, the oven will be at 350. For higher temperatures, such as 425, it takes much longer for it to reach the required temp, but eventually gets there. Get an oven thermometer if you don't have one so you will know when the oven is actually at the temperature you require. One great feature is that the air vents for the oven are at the front of the stove. This is important, because the stove I had previously had the oven air vents in the back. Hot air coming out of the vents fried the controller card for the display/oven temperature twice. I rated this 4-1/2 stars because of the pre-heat issue, which is minor, as long as you are aware of it.

This flat top stove doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some flat top stoves do, but it doesn't come with the same hefty price tag, either. Instead, it does exactly what I need it to do: it cooks and bakes my food. And that's all I wanted.

The coils don't heat up all the fast compared to induction or gas, but the glass top retains heat very well. So it's not very reactive to turning down but depending on what you want that could be a good thing

easier dials and user friendly button control, heats up so fast, I like the 2 bigger burner option, heats to a good rolling boil fast, haven't used oven clean cycle yet, but the reason iI would not recommend it is the quality and design of the glass top , it always looks smudged and no matter what you do it seems greasy and needs shine up. The beveled on the edge inset fit has a crease that collects moisture and debris and always needs cleaned and even Q tip . it is not a tight seal. there is some gap for moisture and debris , constant maintenance.

Perfect, not a scratch on the stove. The packaging was sufficient. We bought it at the local Lowes Hardware store and brought it home in the back of our truck. The power cord and tip-over bracket was easy to install. Our initial check of all the functions of the stove, proved to be working correctly. We will be dining in tonight.

I really like my new range except for 2 issues. The oven takes an extremely long time to preheat which seems odd to me. Also the drawer for pans is too small. I had to put some of my pans in a cupboard which defeats the purpose. But the stove burners all heat fast and the oven bakes well.
