We woke up this morning to a burning odor coming from the brand new fridge. We have only had the fridge on for less than 2 weeks and this morning everything in the freezer is defrosted. Bad clicking sound coming from the freezer motor. Only able to get automated service on the phone and schedule an appointment for 10 days from now. Other than that it is a nice fridge.

Sealed system issue less than 3yr old.

After less than 3 years, there was a sealed system issue and we had to replace the frig. GE would not offer ANY assistance as it was outside of 1 yr warranty. BUYER BEWARE as they do not stand behind their product after one year!!

Nice features, space etc but some design flaws take away from the total product quality. The bottom pull out drawer in the Fridge keeps popping off the rails, GE tech said normal. There is a lot of scatter when ice is dispensed. And there is a noticeable hum that the tech also said is normal

Replacement Refrigerator

This was a unit which replaced a similar model purchased in August 2021, and ceased working December 2021. Problem might have been refrigerant leak caused by damage in storage or transit, which "cooked" the compressor. Unfortunately, niether the dealer nor GE took any responsibilty, and tried to fix it. When it was apparent that a key part would not be available for another month or so, GE finally agreed to replace the unit.

Love the refrigerator. It was my first counter depth, so I was afraid I was going to lose a lot of space inside. Wrong. This fridge is laid out beautifully, especially the door bins. I love the door in door feature. The only thing I would change, and it's a little thing, is that I would offer it with the bottom refrigerator drawer able to open on its own, or make it split drawers so you don't have to open both refrigerator doors to pull out the drawer. Other than that, we live it, and am sure will get use to the tiny inconvenience of the drawer issue.

It stops working in 2 months. Very disappointed

It has been only two month since I started using it. Refrigerator is not cold at all and freezer is generating some cold air but not cold enough to make ice. Turbo function does not work at all for some reason. From day 1, it created very annoying noise all the time. Not just one, two or three different types of noise. And left side French door has not worked properly ever since. Beverage door is supposed to be opened together with outer door by squeezing button and handle together but most of time it never opened together. And one of plastic shelf tray was corrupted or contaminated with some kind of chemical residue. A photo attached. Water dispenser was always spitting extra water randomly so my floor gets wet. I end up turning off that function. Few hundred dollars worth of food already went bad. Very disappointed in this product

We recently moved to the country and it is quiet, just like our GE refrigerator. It is very quiet when running. It provides storage versatility and ample room for whatever you keep cold. The ice maker makes great crushed ice. The freezer allows easy access to readily used items, popsicles, ice cream, etc and large storage for the Thanksgiving turkey.

The refrigerator has everything you need and then some! Our refrigerator was delivered 16 days ago with a small dent in the door...the installers promised to report it and a replacement door would be sent. We received the new door 2 days ago and we are amazed at the quick service. There are a couple of small issue and we are hopeful that the se can resolve these when Tech comes to install the door.

Sloppy Job in assembly

So sorry to say very disappointed. The refrigerator dud not meet our expectations; it has too many defects. Glad your customer care dept listened and will be replacing the unit. This is actually a replacement to the one we bought in 2017 that continues to make noise after 5 tech visits with major parts replaced. This replacement was not given free. I paid at least half which i believe should be free for the troubles and inconveniences my family have been through. For the sake of my health, i accepted the offer with discount. Please take my case to management for review so business processes/ GE products can be improved. Thank you.

I love the fridge. It's wider than my last fridge. It has great storage bins, freezer and shelves. Everything fits easily. It's very easy to use too. The only issues I had with it was I needed an online video to instruct me on how to change the freezer and fridge temperatures. Also the automatic water fill errors out sometimes for unknown reasons.

Good upgrade but has some design flaws

So far I am pleased with the overall performance and look of the fridge…however, there are a couple of qualms I have about the door in door functionality and the water dispenser. 1) Door in Door is a great draw to this, one reason I got it BUT you have to close the door quite hard most of the time in order for the inner latch to properly catch the housing or pull out the release button some. Seems to me was a bit of an after thought and could use some sort of spring loaded return in order for it to be in proper position once closed or opened. 2) Water dispenser…Again another feature that drew me in. I am one where I dislike the idea of having to open the fridge to either get ice or cold water ( guess I am spoiled adult now as a kid I didn't care, didn't have any of the features on fridges) I digress, but once you have filled your cup or glass there is ALWAYS no matter why you do some drips of water out of the spout and on to the drip pan. I get it that's why they have the pan but my old Whirlpool never had that problem..ever. Again this is my 2 cents but I would at least like an answer to the DND feature as I think that's my biggest issues with this. This is why it gets a 4star other wise would have been solid 5.

Disappointed in quality of plastic drawers

While the Profile Counter depth refrigerator is well designed for cooling, the drawers are poorly designed. They fit cheaply and pull in and out poorly and do not seem to adjust properly. We have owned Kitchen Aid and LG in the past --- both have better quality & fit for their drawers. We are first time owners of GE appliances. Quality of inside materials do not act like they will last! However, the spacing and design of shelves is very good.

This unit came with a new home purchase and the aesthetics are lovely. The only problem I am having is the water does not dispense cold, and the freezer door is very difficult to open. You have to tug on it and that often moves the entire refrigerator unit.

We had our new refrigerator delivered in August of this year. The door in door feature is fantastic, it definitely keeps down on opening the full door multiple times. The freezer is convenient and both the freezer and refrigerator have a turbo cool function. The shelf space and door space is plentiful. I thought my old GE Profile refrigerator was very good, but this one is much much more improved. Definitely worth the price!

Overall the refrigerator is good. Missing item that is important would be the current temperature display. Issues are the door in door feature latch could be less sensitive to close, requiring less force to latch. Opening and closing of freezer and refrigerator doors can be more smooth. Ice dispenser can flow more cleanly as not to spray ice chips.

Great so far except for autofill

Replaced a lemon Samsung with this option from GE. Features are fine except Autofill has been a bust so far. Still trying to find the best shelf arrangement. Mainly we want to get some long term use out of this model rather than the 4 year old Samsung we had to replace. Paid the additional cost and Hopefully GEs quality will be better.

We have just had our refrigerator for a short time and it is perfect for our house and family. We love how you can just put items in the door and not have to open the whole refrigerator to get little things out.

The door to the ice maker has been stuck shut since the day the refrigerator was installed making it impossible to reach the ice bucket. Also, ice production is very low.

Piece of crap

A little under three years old and the freezer just quits. The top refrigerator now freezes liquids and produce. Hundreds of dollars in groceries thrown in the garbage. After finally getting a repairman out, he quoted another $600+ to fix this piece of crap and it would take another month before he could come back out to actually fix it. I'll never ever buy GE again.

Replaced the failing Cafe with a Profile (what we had in our previous home). To us a definite upgrade. Took 3 hours to unwrap and hooked up water using our old hose which (fortunately) we had kept. One fruit/veggie drawer is slightly awry but all else is just what we ordered. Will eventually replace all our current GE Cafe with Profile. Had entire Profile Suite in our previous kitchen and much prefer to Cafe.
