I purchased this dryer a little over a week ago when our commercial-grade Amana finally died. We had bought a Maytag Washer a year ago and have been pleased with it so we got the dryer to match. The features are fairly basic (which is what we wanted) and simple to use/understand. We haven't even dried on the highest temperature yet. The amount of laundry that this holds and dries is very large. The dryer does very well on towels, sheets, jeans, etc. without having to be put on the highest temperature setting. The light inside is a huge plus! This model is also quieter than I anticipated and we really don't notice when it's running. The alarm is pretty loud and can be annoying, but you can turn that off if it is a big issue for you. All in all, the design, functionality and operation is exactly what we were looking for and are very pleased with our purchase.

Just bought this almost a week ago. We had a dryer that had been bought used and was probably at least 15 years old and the motor just recently burnt out. We had just gone through the same deal with our washing machine 2 years ago and had bought a Maytag washer to replace it. As we are involved in farm work and I regularly have clothes that get very dirty and wanted a washer with a spindle and this was the largest we found in a price range we liked and fits a king size comforter, so when our dryer went out we saw the matching dryer on sale and seemed like a no brainer. We are still getting use to the settings, but very impressed how much it beats our old one in speed and other areas.

This dryer is less than 3 months old. As others have commented, this dryer takes up to 2 hours to dry a standard size load. I have made sure all vents and filters are clean and it still takes forever. After an hour the clothes are still wet. When using feature, I have the same issue. Totally disappointed. I bought a Maytag due to perceived quality. I would not purchase this dryer again.

I purchased this dryer after my Kenmore dryer died after using it for 9 years. I wanted a different brand. Hopefully this one will last longer. I read that this dryer is quite hot, so dry on a lower setting. I have not found that to be the case. This dryer seems to be responding correctly to the names on the dials. Both in agriculture related fields, coming home with soiled clothing is no stranger to our set. We've found clothes come out clean and the reviews about clothing taking so long to wash or dry, everyone has 24 hours in the day. I didn't feel it takes more time honestly. Compared to our other dryer, I believe the dry time is actually shorter.

Does not dry clothes after first cycle

I bough this dryer a few months ago and have not been impressed. I got it the first time and it would run but not heat up whatsoever. I would open the dryer after it was done and the clothes would still be as wet as when i started the cycle. I was able to return that one and get it replaced with another and, while it does cry clothes now, it takes two cycles to dry rather than drying it all the first time. I have tried every setting, clean the filter after each cycle, and still clothes are always damp after the initial dry. I have not been impressed.

Great for Father of 2

I had the misfortune of having my dryer blow out so bought a larger dryer 7.0. This dryer does not have all the frills that some do but it does have the moisture sensor. Wanted only that mainly so as to cut down on drying time. Thus far, expectations meet above expectations and love the fact that clothes don't come out super HOT. Larger capacity than previous so updated washing machine a month later as lots of room for clothes. Only one complaint is pulling lint catcher out of top, lint ends up there everytime. Just using the dryer sheet to clean up the minimal debris. Cut washing/drying loads to 1 per week per person instead of 2-3 loads per week per person.

So far this dryer puts out the heat needed to do the job. I don't have to retry items and it is quieter than I assumed it to be. I would recommend this unit.

Huge drying capacity

Love it, has a huge dryer and my blankets have never been so fluffy. The buzzer at the end is a bit annoying but so worth this dryer with sensor so you don't have to keep starting it again to get the clothes dry.

I purchased this dryer a few months ago. It takes considerably longer to dry my clothes than my old Maytag. That makes me sad. Otherwise, it's a good machine so far.
