Maytag 30" oven and flat top stove

I bought this range about 6 months ago and have been totally satisfied with the purchase. The oven heats evenly, and the ceramic cook top works great and has many combinations of heat settings. The only regret with the black cook top is it gets dirty easily, however consistent cleaning with a quality stovetop cleaner keeps it looking like new.

We built a new home and purchased all Maytag appliances because of the reputation for dependability, even though they were more expensive than the comparable Whirlpool model. After a less than desirable experience with our Maytag refrig, I am even more disappointed to have problems with my range. After baking 2 angel food cakes that literally fell out of the pan as it cooled, I then purchased a digital thermometer and found there was as much as a 70 degree temperature swing during baking cycle. Parts are on order but backordered, so hopefully the parts will come sooner than later. I really like the features of this stove

I always had built in oven before and cooktop, but decided I wanted a bigger oven. The oven is enormous. I was used to flat top burners so of course I am very happy with that part too. It's taking me a little time to figure out my new stove but it's coming along pretty good. At 75, new items can be a challenge to figure out sometimes, but I am up to the challenge.

My "Drop-In" Stove/Range in the middle of my Island "croaked"! The price for a "Drop-In" replacement is totally astronomical/ridiculous compared to a Slide-In. This Slide-In Range was easily "carpentered" to fit where my old "Drop-In" was, AND it looks fabulous... So far, the quality has been great. I will report back if I have any problems.

We did a major kitchen redo when we purchased our condo after moving last summer when all the appliances (from Maytag) were purchased and installed in late July. I do not like the Aqua Clean system as it does not take off even the slightest dirt/grease spots despite repeated attempts. Shortly after that I find that there is a big chip of what I thought was stainless steel trim on the top but apparently is paint that has worn or fallen off? For what this appliance cost, I would have expected better quality, especially from Maytag.

Weds controls on range and microwave backlit

We bought both the range and matching microwave because they've made in the USA and the controls are all up front and close. That's important because my wife has progressive macular degeneration. She couldn't see the controls on our old range so we spent $2500 to get one she could see. Range is black top electric and the controls are all on a black surface. Closer but still can't see. If they were all backlit like most modern computers it would be a total success instead of a three. Is there any fix that can be made? Thank you

I bought this range a little over 3 months ago (delivered close to a month after purchased). The power on the unit kept going off. As luck will have it, the power went off and never came up while cooking a dinner for 10 people this past weekend. It turned out the main power board was defective, which is the board that apparently controls all functions. Since it's such a new appliance, I made a call to the Maytag customer representative asking them if I could just get a complete replacement as opposed to just getting the board replaced. My concern is that there may be something else defective with the unit and don't want this same incident happening again. Well, that did not go well. The representative did not listen. She was more concerned about explaining to me what the warranty said than hearing any of my concerns. I do not feel my request was unreasonable and considering I bought at the same time I bought the range, I also bought a Maytag washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, and a dishwasher, that the representative and Maytag would have been more sympathetic with my request.

I've not even had it but one day. Literally 24 hours and it already looks bad! I am not sure what happened. I cooked one meal with a copper chef skillet. I did read the manual and I never get skillets hot or on high. Just medium temps. I suppose I was supposed to buy all new cookware too!

I bought three Maytag appliances. Love the look. Love the fridge! Took a while to get used to the range. Oven temp might be off. Biggest complaint I have is the aqua lift. It's worthless and it makes me not want to use the oven! Doesn't even come close to regular self cleaning ovens!! I have to ask my husband to try to scrub it clean and he can't get stuff off either.

I called 10-10-18 to complain about the peeling painted area around the display panel and was told it was a "cosmetic" problem. Wow, not even 10 months old and this is happening. Sad to say I purchased the other appliances to match my new kitchen. Why is the company unwilling to address this? There are so many complaints about the same issue.

Some good, some not so good

Some of the features are great and very convenient. But others are not so much. So far we absolutely love the warming oven. We use is often and it works like a charm. We even can get takeout, bring it home and keep it hot while we have a cocktail. The burners are fast heating and stay hot. We have not used the oven very much yet so I cannot rate it yet. Features that are not so great are the different burner types (to complicated), and using the timer (difficult to set and alarm is way to soft....hard to hear), and having the dials in the front. Because they are in the front, food drippings get all over the dials and are difficult to clean. What we like the most really is the fast heating up and consistent heat coming from the burners....they are great.

I have had my range for about a month now and I am overall very happy with this purchase. My only complaint so far would be that when baking at high tenperatures(over 375) there seems to be a cooling fan of some sort that stays on for quite a while and it's a pretty loud humming noise for over an hour after oven is turned off. I haven't tried cleaning my oven yet so I'm curious how that will go. In spite of that, it's a good range and I would buy it again.

Love the oven/ flat top stove. It definitely takes some getting used too. Had a electric stove with the coil burners ...could control heat better. I'm sure it will take some time.... learning curve.Top of stove is easy to clean, haven't used the cleaning feature for inside stove yet. The warming drawer ....don't know any one uses it for that, I use it for extra pans ...like broiler pan /storage. The drawer gets hot when stove is on and you haven't turn that feature on! So make sure you only put metal pans, no plastic or wood handles in that drawer.I like the knobs on the front of stove instead of the back. Easy to clean!The light works great to see how the cooking process is going.Have not used the covect option yet.

I had this installed and have used it for perhaps a month now and I am still adjusting to electric cooktop from the gas top I used at our previous address. The gas model would have been my first choice but not possible to put in a gas line in our house. There are lots of nice features as the warming area on the top and the warming drawer. I am leary of the Aqualift system of the oven having read poor reviews on that and not sure if there was a standard self clean oven available as I would have chosen that instead. To be fair I have not tried it yet so I am withholding final opinion on that until I do.

So far so good. The look of it really pops in the kitchen. Been using it for 2 weeks and has TONS of features which are nice. The back burner on the left side that is marked with melt isn't really useful because it can't get anything too warm. Other than that it's great. Especially the warming drawer.

New Range after 12 years

We decided to purchase our first glass top range and chose the Maytag as we have had good luck with their products in the past. I like the range however I don't like how the control panel is at the front. Seems to get dirty there with any spills and I'm afraid that all the cleaning will cause the panel to go out quicker. Also, top seems to scratch really easy. I'm constantly cleaning it. So, I wish I had stuck to the coil burners.

Very disappointing

I bought this stove two years ago and every time I cook a pizza the middle stays soggy and uncooked - today I get an error that the cooling fan speed is low , called a service guy and nice surprise $400.00 repair. Considering what I paid for this stove , I should not need to repair anything so soon considering I do not use it very often. I am very disappointed with the quality of this product

I have two problems with this unit. First, the oven door handle is crooked (one side mounted higher than the other), and second, the oven light comes on sporadically and then won't shut off.

Love the convection oven!

One thing that are cooked me right off the bat about this oven, was that it doesn't have a lip that fits over the side counter. Our previous range did, and so I anticipated this one too. I assumed that was part of the point of a slide-in range, but I guess that was my misinterpretation. I love the convection feature, it especially works well with the broiling. My food gets done so fast! I have also noticed that after the oven has been turned off, there is a slight humming noise, maybe a fan? I've never noticed that on a previous oven.

This is a replacement for a very basic electric range that I used for 25+ years, so I'm still learning about the many new features this one has to offer. I've read the owner's manual and refer back to it as I go along. So far, I am impressed with the solid quality of this appliance and I am glad I have it. I am still trying to get used to the "sensitivity" of the glass top as it marks easily and requires special cleaning. But overall, it is a good purchase.

Overall, I am happy with this range. The oven is larger than my last, & I can easily bake 3 or more cake layers at once. I like that feature. I've been very happy with cooking and baking. I've not yet used the convection feature but will try it soon; have not baked anything I was willing to experiment on! Negative features: the range top is so hard to clean. It spots so easily and cleaning it is a chore. I would also prefer a louder timer alarm and one that continues sounding.

Wish I woulda known more about what I wanted in a stove before I bought this. The timer alert settings has only one option one single beep that repeats after a minute or so my house is busy and I need a lot more than a single beep to let me know my foods done! I hate that there are no covers for cracks along side of stove where stove meets countertop most slide in ranges have covers that keep the gap covered. Only 4 burners 2 small and two big are not enough for me. In the end I wish I would have gotten a gas stove with more burners!
