Nice 5 burner stove

This was a replacement for a Kitchen-Aid range. For a slide-in, it sticks out more than I would like and the width is a little off, but is a nice functional range.

I've had this stove over a month now. Very happy so far. Easy to use, live the knob location. We have a large dog that would bump our knobs on the old stove, no issues so far with this one. No complaints about heat, if anything I'm going to try and see if I can have flames lowered. Haven't used the center griddle feature yet. Oven doesn't make the kitchen hot so that tells me it's sealed and insulated well.

This is a nice stove. The only criticism I have is the burners are too hot. There is only one burner that will maintain a slow simmer. All the other burners boil things even when turned to the lowest setting.

I already owned the Maytag Microwave Convection Oven so when my stove broke it made sense to get the Maytag stove. I am very impressed with the build quality of the stove- it feels sturdy and reliable. I checked out several stoves and this one simply looked better and looked premium. After using it now for a few weeks I can say that we are even happier with its performance, it cooks evenly and is a joy to use.

It's ok but the knobs break easily

I bought this stove because of the great price point and it's clean lines. But you do get what you pay for and the knobs have tiny metal pins inside that detach when you try to clean the stove and either lodge in the handle or fly across the room. I have 2 knobs that just kind of teeter on the gas gadges and I honestly wish I had spend the extra money and bought better queasily appliances.

Preheat component went out after two months.

We chose to pay a little more to get quality appliances. The range was working great and we noticed how fast the preheat worked. Then after a few months, the range would only preheat to 150 degrees. Luckily, Maytag covered the costs for the repair but it took the appliance company 3 weeks to finally fix it. That meant we went those weeks with no oven so it meant a lot of take out food. The range top knobs are very easy to bump and turn on so be aware especially with little ones in the house. The look and functionality over all are great but, starting to get a little nervous about our decision since the product has already failed.

I bought this range 8 months ago and absolutely HATE it. When you use the "Aqualift" self cleaning, the oven is just as dirty at the end of the cycle as it was when you began. The oven light only lasted about 5 months and we cannot get the cover off to change the bulb. When we contacted Maytag they said this was not covered by the warranty. The front burners run very hot and one element can only be used for boiling water otherwise it burns what you are cooking. This is not my first gas stove and I never had this problem before.

Ive had a few months use of this stove. It cleans up well. Seems well constructed. Oven heats up fast. The spacing on grates are wide and pans can tip a little. Seems dangerous for households with children. The burners are all very hot with no ability to simmer even on low.

This is our first gas stove and we really enjoy using it. It is straight forward to use, easy to clean and the oven is spacious to accommodate lots of things. We like how easy it is to lift the grates to clean underneath them but we have noticed that the grates scratch easily. I think this stove will last us many years.

I purchased this model about 4 months ago after my 30 year old stove finally gave up the ghost. I needed and wanted a gas stove and I looked first to Maytag. I recently also had to replace my 30 year old refrigerator and went with a Maytag. Now my stove and refrig designs match! And they both have really clean lines with the wonderful fingerprint resistant stainless surface. The new stove is terrific. I had to adjust to the more powerful burners and on occasion have had to move a pot to the smallest burner (left rear). But, not a problem. I recently used the center oval burner with the grill accessory I bought and it worked just fine. I've used the oven for baking chicken and roasting vegetables, oven temp was spot on. I haven't used the convention function yet or the warming drawer. So far, everything has been easy to clean. The cast iron grates are on the heavier side, but are easy to remove for access to the under surface which gets splattered. I honestly couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thank you Maytag for producing quality products. (I also own a Maytag washer and dryer going on 30 years! I think I've got a year or two left in them.)

Oven doesn't work

Bought in April 2017 from Home Depot. Two weeks in and the oven wouldn't work. You can hear it trying to ignight no gas flow. Problem was fixed. Glad I bought the extended warranty. Same problem in October this year. Contacted Maytag and was told to contact Commerco the company that handles the extended warranty. 2 weeks later it was fixed. Replaced the main control board and the main gas valve. A week after that, same problem. Contacted Home Depot and Commerco after 3 times of fixing the problem I was advised that they are supposed to consider it to be a Lemon. Commerco does not acknowledge warranty issues during the 1st year of ownership as the warranty is covered by Maytag. Home Depot store where I bought it was also surprised. Still not fixed! Very Poor customer service Maytag! There is obviously something with the design. I see others are also experiencing the same problem.

I have had this range for just over a month and love it! Heats up fast, the oven is sealed well and does not heat up the kitchen like my previous aging Jennair range. The burners are more powerful than what I was use to but took no time to adjust my heat settings. The grates lift easily to wipe down the surface.

I have had this about a month ago. I think it is just o.k. I really don't like the black top it is very hard to keep clean.With the knobs on top they can get dirty. If they were at the front if would be better and have a cleaner look. The grates on the stove and the gas caps should be porcelain so they can be cleaned easily. The shelves in the oven are rather cheap.The timer takes too much time to use a simple up or down would be fine. I do like the look of the continuous grates and like the fingerprint resistance.I like the placement of the burners and the small burner has like a diffuse feature which helps against burning when on low heat. The round handles are very nice. And the fact that it is made in the US. The customer service is friendly but the need to know their product's inside and out or should have a tech support team who does.

Faulty right out of box. No replacement offered

The stove was faulty right out of the box. Electrician installed it on a state code-required breaker and a faulty wire in the door is causing the breaker to trip immediately as soon as the door is jostled or opened. Contractor and electrician both say they've installed plenty of gas ranges on these breakers and this is the first time they've encountered this, so there is definitely an issue with this particular stove. Maytag sent a repairman nearly 2 weeks later and he left without making any determination. I have a $2000 heap of unusable metal and scrambling to cook something edible for my two kids everyday. If an appliance fails immediately upon installation, it should be replaced. I am so disheartened and disappointed by the quality of this product and the service received. This is one of the worst and most expensive decisions I've ever made.

We initially selected Maytag appliances because Whirlpool, the parent company, has extensive operations in the USA, including design and assembly of this range. We are more than impressed with how it works! Looks great too! Only complaint is that the clock is a little hard to see unless standing over the range, we really appreciate that the controls face upward and are out of reach of out two year old. Fingerprint resistant finish works really well too. Would recommend and appreciate that Whirlpool/Maytag keeps Americans working!

We be only had our new Maytag appliances for a couple of weeks now. Still trying to get moved back in and settled. We made a great choice choosing Maytag. We love this range! We have propane gas and it lights up immediately. I love the two large burners. Our last range only had one large burner and that limited us at times.

Attractive and functional

Love my new range and all of the cooking functions operate perfectly. The only thing I would suggest is that a hood vent should be used with it. I have an over-the-range microwave above it and the fan doesn't do a good job, plus the underside of the microwave gets extremely hot with more than one burner in operation at the same time.
