We bought this range a month ago and so far we really like it. Buttons not responsive to a soft touch originally but seem to have broken in. Wife loves to use the Whirlppol App and start cooking remotely. Overall very happy with purchase.

Won't work with Google Home

I bought this range three weeks ago, and I'm still having issues connecting it to my Google Home. My range is connected to the WiFi, I set up an account through the Whirlpool app, but when I ask Google Home to connect the accounts, it won't. It says "Something went wrong. Try again," or it will tell me "Whirlpool is not available." I've tried pressing the Discover option, and it will show "Whirlpool Smart Appliances," but it just won't connect. I've Googled the issue and someone has reported having the same issues, they've contacted Google Home for assistance and they've said it's a Whirlpool issue, when they contact Whirlpool, it's a Google Home issue. So now I have this super cool range, that I spent a lot of money on, and I cannot use it with Google Home. Now I just chuckle every time the commercials come on. Other than the Google Home issues, I like it. I can turn the light on with the app, so that's cool. It's just a really expensive oven.

Serious Quality Control

I am on my 3rd Unit and the inside has damage. We are afraid that the missing coating on the inside of the range will rust since it uses water to do its self cleaning. I have called 3 times and all three of the managers told me they have no way to document or to send a quality control ticket. The picture is day 1 delivery when I went to inspect it. Also the first one had a bigger missing piece then this one. I guess I will keep sending them back until I get a better one. Since I already have part of a set. Lessened learned inspect all before install or move to another manufacture. Make sure if you buy one you inspect the coating.

I had a convection oven a long time ago and I wanted another which would fit into the allowed area of small townhouse. I love the convection oven and the design of the ceramic top has more useful options than I've seen on other ranges. The controls are easy to learn to use. Its design is clean and attractive and the price was reasonable

Unlike many items for sale, you can rarely test an Electric Range before purchase. After only a few days of use, I have learned that Whirlpool seems content to design it's newest Kitchen appliances without the input of people who will use their products. Specifically, I find that there is a single volume setting. On and Off. For cooks who are hard of hearing or live in a noisy environment, (i.e. construction area, lawn mowing, high vehicle activity, etc) , you can kiss the idea of being notified when a step in your cooking process ends. I can hardly hear the timer on either my two day old SMART Range or my 4 day old new Whirlpool Microwave. Both produce an alarm with such low volume I can hardly hear it in a quiet environment. All attempts to find instructions on the internet on how to INCREASE the volume have failed. There are no online videos either by Whirlpool or others for this product and it is a much more complicated machine with Broil, Bake, Roast convection settings which can be used in addition to the standard cooking functions. I can NOT yet rate most of the categories since my experience is so limited. Unfortunately, I had no Idea that the newest Whirlpool appliances were so STUPID. Wake Up Whirlpool.

We really like the adjustable burners and the very large oven. The range fit better in our location than our old Whirlpool did from 20 years ago. The one thing that I would like to have seen different is the cook top being black. It should have been textured like the brown cook top on our old unit. It was easier to keep clean.

Oven temperature

Nov 2018 Only had my range a month, needed service on oven temperature. Husband called service support, they walked him thru some temp controls & then told him we had to wait several more minutes after the preheat tone sounds before cooking or baking. I was furious. I have been baking for over 40 years & never heard such a thing. We called back & asked for a service tech to come out and look at the problem. After the service tech reset oven temperatures, he checked the oven temperature with 2 thermometers and not one of them reached the temperature set let alone exceed it as it states in the manual. The service tech basically said the same thing service support said about waiting several more minutes, at least another 15 minutes for the oven to reach desired temp. I asked him to show me in the service manual where that information was located, of course he could not because it isn't there. We have been waiting for a new stove since the beginning of December, obviously no Christmas baking done here, only to receive a call today (01/21/19) that the delivery is now delayed until February 16th. This isn't just a replacement stove, we actually had to pay for a new stove in order to be put in the que for delivery.

Even though the stove is new we are very happy with the features we have used and have read about. Very frustrated. I managed to get this appliance connected to my router, but cannot get the app to remember this appliance. This is the same problem others are having, after looking after the app reviews. Buy a more basic appliance. Nevertheless, cooktop works well. Oven works well, but it makes the cooktop VERY HOT.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and I love it! The frozen bake technology bakes things faster. The app is great, you can control your oven from your phone! I have loved convection baking, my last oven had that and was a must with my new one. There are so many choices for burner sizes. My kids love scanning a bar code and having the oven take it from there! I'm very happy that I chose this oven!!!

Glass top

I love this range but am so so dissapointed in the glass top. I've had several glass top ranges and have used the same cookware on same. I've had this range one month and have got scratches already. The cookware I use is flat bottom as they say but the scratches are evident. I have NEVER abused it and am very careful. All the previous glass tops have held up beautifully, but not this one. So disappointing.
